The first step in the process
is our "Mash
Tun."
We
start with mixing the crushed grains into the mash liquor (water).
The grains steep in the hot water of the Mash Tun for approximately one hour,
depending on the recipe.
After the "mashing" is finished, we pump through our "underback" to
the copper.
The liquid, called "Wort," is boiled with hops here for approximately
one hour.

The spent grain in the mash tun has to be removed, which is then delivered
to the farm
for animal fodder.
