An old English style of beer dating back to the times of the British
Empire (IPA means India Pale Ale) It is essentially a strong and
very hoppy beer with a fairly light colour. The hops and strength
kept the beer fresh for the long journey to the forces in India.
The recipe for this beer contains two different
types of malted barley and also has three varieties of hops. Fuggles
hops are used to give bitterness and Goldings and Progress are added
to give aroma. |
